We were told by the lady who took our reservaton that (1) it was a converted convent - a room with two double beds, that (2) she would meet us between 6 and 7:00 pm the day of our arrival and (3) that a local lady would be providing us a "great" breakfast - "the best" - the next morning. The only accurate information was number 1. There was nobody there to meet us. After asking the help of two local residents, we eventually found a man (WITHOUT customer service or hospitality skills) coming out of the rectory across the street. After some uncomfortable back and forth we realized that he was going to be checking us in and fixing us a SMALL breakfast the next morning. It was comparable to staying in a budget motel with a continental breakfast. We paid $70 but felt it was only worth about $50. At least the room was clean! more
