Our recent trip to Colorado for some skiing (and of all years, the snow this year has been incredible!) brought us to that perilous stretch of I-70 where some of Colorado's best skiing can be found. Our travel agent booked us at the Weaterop Lodging Bed and Breakfast, which we were assured would be a welcome change from the overwhelming and overcrowded mega-resorts that are all too common on the ski properties.

Weathertop Lodging was a comfortable, stately and warm B&B that would be our choice of stay year-round. Located in the unbelievably small town of Silver Plume (population: 150), not far from the slightly larger town of Georgetown, Weathertop Lodging was quiet and relaxing. The innkeeper ensured that our stay was the best it could be and was more friendly than any hotel personnel I have ever encountered.
