I've stayed at almost every hotel in Silverton - I think there are two I haven't been to yet. This was my first stay at the Grand Imperial. It had some things that kind of reminded me of the El Covento Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico (which has been a great hotel, but I think is slipping). Overall, though,... more

I stayed at the Grand Imperial Hotel and thought that is was a very nice place to stay. have been to Silverton many times and have discovered this quaint hotel. The room was clean and the staff was hospitable. I also enjoyed my meal at the restaurant "Grumpy's." I would reccommend this hotel to anyone who would like a true... more

As a family we get tired of the same old Hotels . This was just what we needed It has style class and great locations We stayed 2 nights and the staff went out of the way to make sure we were happy. Personality plus If your looking for the basic hotel with its wireless, pool and same look, like every... more

I have stayed at the Grand Imperial many times throughout the years with my family and have always loved the small town charm that these folks always provide. I have been there when there is not always hot water immediately. I think it is a part of the history that comes along with staying there. I have always been accomodated.... more

No hot water, although there was some lukewarm water for 1/2 of a shower. Talked to others in town that stayed here and it apparently is an ongoing problem with this hotel. No coffee in the rooms or lobby. The rooms are very basic and the decorum is early 20th century. The carpet needed a good shampooing. There is no... more

Worst experience I have had in Silverton! Very dirty tiles fell off the shower wall. When I asked the front desk for a hanger they told me if it's not in the room I'm out of luck. I can't believe they didn't get a clothes hanger for my clothes. The shower had black mold. I love to stay at old hotels... more

We loved our stay at the Grand Imperial. Yes it is an old hotel, heck it was built in the late 1800's. We loved the feel of this classic beauty. Wide staircases creaky wood floors. Our room was on the third floor and I would recommend the same. The room was clean, comfortable and quite roomy. The queen bed was... more

NO hotels in Silverton have elevators. If you want an old west experience stay at the Grand Imperial Hotel. When we arrived the owner checked us in, the next morning we met his wife, she works there as well. Largest hotel in town family owned & operated for a cozy feeling. more

My Family and I vacation here Last September of 2006. The Hotel is a beautiful place to stay at. The floors might be creaky and The ghost stories we were told by the night manager, made it all worth the Stay, especialy for my kids! The rooms are kept nice and clean, and the bathrooms might be small but thats... more

My husband and I booked a "suite", there was NO electrical outlet in the very small bath, and only two outlets in the entire room, we had to get behind a piece of furniture to access one. There was a ceiling fan with five lights, only two worked, and one bedside lamp was broken. There was not even a box... more
