A friend had recommended we try the Wyman as they had stayed at another hotel in Silverton and just wished they had stayed at the Wyman. I booked reservations for my wife and I about 10 days before we left Missouri for Colorado. The lady taking the reservation was very helpful and wanted to know specifically what our train schedule... more

The problem with staying at The Wyman Hotel in Silverton, CO, is that you will not want to leave! What a fantastic experience we had staying there. We were on a road trip throughout western Colorado and planned on staying in Silverton one night. We wanted to stay at a unique b&b and The Wyman's website seemed to fit the... more

The Wyman is a lovely place with amazing rooms and views. We were made to feel at home and the breakfast they served was exemplary. We would definitely stay here again. Next time, we plan on staying in the railroad room! more

After our flight was abruptly cancelled (thank you Delta) we stayed at the Wyndam rather than driving on through the mountains to Durango. the staff was nice even when we knocked on the door at 11 PM. The our room was nice but a liitle pricey. Some of the other rooms had more history to them as the hotel is... more

This hotel may appeal to a certain kind of person, probably the older set, but it was not for us. It is one of those places where the hosts seem to have dealt with tourists too long. We were not enamored of Silverton in general, especially after the beautiful and upscale town of Telluride which has fine dining, modern luxury,... more

This review was written just 2 months before my wife and I bought the hotel. We have now owned the hotel for a little over one year and have made many changes with lots more planned for the future. We can't speak for the old owners but we certainly do enjoy what we do and especially enjoy having a business...

We have just returned from our third visit in four years to the Wyman Inn. The inn is total luxury located in the heart of beautiful Silverton, CO. Tom and Lorraine are the kindest, most thoughtful host and hostess that made our stay each time whether by ourselves, with our son or with our parents - an absolute joy! Tom... more

This was a boring place to stay. Room was not as clean as I expected. Dinner was extremely overpriced and not "fine dinning". Breakfast was not as good as anticipated. The guest computer was broke. No wireless internet available. The owners were not accommodating. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. more

My wife and I bought the Wyman Hotel in September of 2006. Since purchasing the hotel, we have made many upgrades -- with WiFi internet being one of them. We pride ourselves on customer service and clean rooms. Silverton is not for everyone though. It's a quite little town with very little night life. If you're looking for a big...

Beds were not comfortable. Breakfast was good but not very flexible. Owners seemed to have attitudes. Windows in room were difficult to open. Door leading to hallway had big gap, so you get to hear everyone who walks by. Not much of a privacy feeling. Power went out one night for several hours after a storm. Silverton is very boring... more

We are the new owners and are very sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. Since purchasing the hotel in September of 2006, we have made numerous upgrades with new bedding in all of the rooms, being a big part of that. All rooms now have down comforters and feather pillows (alternatives are available upon request). We take great pride in...

The Wyman in short is THE PLACE for Food and Accomdations. Best money I've spent in a long time. A Dream of a weekend. Tom and Lorraine were the best hosts ever. They added a lot of pleasure to our trip. If you are going to the Colorado Mtns. stay at the Wyman. Tell them Jim and Tina said Hi. more

My husband and I have stayed in the Wyman Inn for several years. We make an annual trip to Colorado and always stay at this "warm feeling" lodging. In fact, we request the same room each year. The meals are great and we are not pressured to participate if we do not wish too. Tom just needs enough notice to... more
