Steamboat was gorgeous in late September -- golden aspen leaves, and beautiful sunny weather. The Phoenix is located across the street from access to the ski gondola . Our group of 4 adults and 3 children (ages 5,7,7) stayed at the Phoenix condos over Presidents weekend 2008. We rented from steamboatrbo.com and saved a good deal of money doing this. Our family vacationed with another family and stayed in a 4 bedroom/4 bathroom suite (room 202) at the Phoenix. The staff was courteous and welcoming, the suite was beautifully decorated and the beds were very comfortable.
