New owners since May, 2010. They are a nice family from KS but not sure they have a clue how to run a B&B. The run out of very limited menu items which was disappointing at breakfast. Few people stayed there overnight and they ran out of all egg dishes and served what looked like Eggo's waffles and fatty bacon.... More

We recently stayed in Leadville, CO and took a day trip to Aspen. On our return we stopped in at the Inn of the Black Wolf to make a stop in the bar. The restaurant dining room is quaint. We ordered at the bar, and they allowed us to sit in the rocking chairs in front of a crackling fire.... More

The new owners have driven this property into the ground. They care more about running a restaurant than an enjoyable B&B. We were there to celebrate our anniversary - got married there when it was the Nordic Lodge in 2004. Happened to be there during the Augtoberfest. What a bust. Drunk attendees were wandering around the Inn using the Inn... More

A very friendly staff who makes you feel at home from the moment you walk in the door. Excellent location in close proximity to hiking trails, Not much for hiking? Grap a book off the shelf and spend enjoying the day reading away on the front porch or side yard. Either place you will be treated to spectacular mountain views.... More

A nice group of staff who make you feel comfortable right away when you arrive. The locals love to talk sports, hiking and politics around the barstools. The meals served to us were excellent . Plenty of hiking trails nearby to go and enjoy the beauty of the mountains. Don't feel like hiking, then grab a book of their shelf... More

I was really looking forward to eating at this quaint-looking restaurant, and was disappointed. The staff was friendly, but slow. The atmosphere was quaint, but the television in the bar area was loud and detracted from the charm. The TV was airing the Democratic Convention in Denver, so maybe it's not normally up so loud, but I kept thinking a... More

In the small village of Twin Lakes, Colorado (between Leadville and Aspen) stands a rustic inn built in 1879. My wife and I and some friends recently met here for diner. The owner and host of The Black Cat Bed and Breakfast had recomended we visit. The Black Cat is a few miles down the road with one of the... More

We ate in the restaurant but did not stay in the lodge. So this review addresses the restaurant only. It offers a very relaxed dining setting with a great mountain view, and the staff is courteous and attentive. The food is quite good. Note: the chef tends to undercook. So if you order meduim rare, you will get very rare,... More

We just returned from a 4 night stay here and it was very restful. We stayed in one of the lodge rooms with a double bed and a set of bunks for our children. The bathrooms were down the hall. This place is very old and quaint with some issues like a warped bathroom floor or some carpet that is... More
