I can't say enough how thankfull we are for finding out about the Lionshead Inn. $89.00 rooms walking distance to the gondola in Vail and the newly redeveloped Lionshead Village, reminds me of Beaver Creek or disneyland. Moes BBQ is across the street and the place is walking distance to Dobson Ice Arena for local conerts. We already booked our... more

Stayed at LHI in Feb '09 for 4 night ski trip. Great deal...by FAR the least expensive place within walking distance to the lifts. The room was clean and comfortable, though not luxurious...but it was fantastic considering that everything else around it was $400 a night or more. It is more convenient than lots of places that are far pricier.... more

It's hard to fault Lionshead considering the typical price in Vail. Basically the Marriott is across the street and maybe almost twice the price. Others point out it's faults but the room was clean and comfy, linens average, furniture normal hotel. Location is superb with about a 10 minute walk to Lionshead lift area. Breakfast was basic but adequate. Staff... more

We stayed at the Inn over Labor Day weekend and had a horrible stay. It was completely empty, and the front desk manager said that it was because it was the off-season. How is Labor Day weekend the off-season?!? We were promised a breakfast included in the price, but because it was the "off-season," there was no kitchen open. The... more

It was mid week, and off season.... still paid $140 ish for a small room... (it was $240) the next nite... The room was in the "Annex" building. Another hotel they took over and sent their overflow people to. It was a small dumpy room definitely in need of remodeling. The web site photos were no way as nice as... more

My son and I just returned from a 4 night stay at the Lion's Head Inn. We stayed in the "Annex" which is across the street from the main building. Given the price, I was concerned that the place would be a dump. I was pleasantly surprised that it was not. We paid $179 per night for a room that... more

This was the best deal we could find in Vail, one line was $199 mountain view studio, I called the receptionist she even gave me 10% discount, so it was $179 per night. Its only few minutes walk to the Eagle Bahn gondola, free breakfast for all 3 of us, saves so much time and money. Hot chocolate/coffee/cookies after skiing,... more

We recently stayed at the Lionshead Inn for one night on January 9th. We booked a double room on Hotels.com and got a total rate of $277 (which included state/local tax and booking fee). Overall, we were pleased with the value for money at the Lionshead Inn (taking into account how expensive Vail can be). It is not a fancy... more

The party started at 1:30 am, at 2:30am I called the front desk. and asked to be moved. They said they would call the room and tell them to quiet down, but the party continued. Finally, at 4:30 am I fell asleep from sheer exhaustion. Room hot and stuffy, but couldn't open the window because the partyers were on the... more

Located in Lionshead village. About a 10 min walk to the Gondola. We had a non-mountain view room. Very spacious, clean and basic. The noise from the highway that some of the other reviews talk about was not a problem. I only noticed it because I read about it in the reviews. No ice machine on the 4th floor. No... more
