I usually start off with all the good stuff about a hotel, but in this case, I'd like to get the bad out of the way, first. If you stay in a Deluxe Room, you won't be over the bar, but you will still hear the music. It ends at 10:30pm, though, so it wasn't too bad. Also, if you... more

This will be the third time that I have stayed at Pepe's. It is the location and the relatively good price (this is Vail) that keeps us returning. The pros: walking distance with boots on to the lifts, and all the bars in between. Decent breakfast in the morning, excellent wild game cooked in the dining room for dinner, and... more

We stayed at the hotel for a week in March. The property was well priced and spacious, but the interiors are "tired" and in needs of new paint and carpeting. The owners were unresponsive and did not empower their staff to solve problems. While the hotel is well located in the heart of Vail Village, it is VERY noisy! There... more

Location is in the center of Vail Village, just a little past the covered bridge. Excellent for shopping or hanging out, but maybe not for skiing. (We weren't there to ski, but I would image it would be a fair trek to the slopes.) Hotel is nice, room was very nice and clean, had a huge balcony, and very cute... more

I booked a room here last minute hoping for an average room and I was so surprised what a great hotel this is. The location could not have been better; the rooms are very clean, not to small with a great view. The lobby is very cozy and parking is so easy (right under the hotel). We were able to... more

Overall very good. Loved the location, the restaurant, the lobby and the spa. Breakfast was superb. But the standard room was loud (over the bar, which fortunately calmed down around 10 PM) and hot (next to the mechanical room, had to sleep with the window cracked, increasing the noise level). The clientele is about half US and half foreign. Everyone... more

We've stayed at the Gramshammer for our Vail trips the past two years. We went with without shopping around, contrary to our usual practice. This was due to family having stayed there for years, and we wanted to be close to them. The general consensus is that it's gone downhill (no pun intended!). Not irreparably, but the level now is... more

This was a cute hotel in the middle of Vail Village. We stayed there (two couples, two rooms) for two nights in August. The hotel looked like a little slice of Austria. The lobby, the building, everything made us feel as if we were in Europe (and since three of us are European, that means a lot), except the rooms... more

We had a fabulous time at this wonderfully charming hotel. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The location was a bit confusing as Vail Village has some roads that cars cannot travel. Once we were settled we found the hotel was wonderfully located in the heart of the village. Each day was started with the most scrumptious continental breakfast... more

My husband and I recently spent a night at the Gasthof Gramshammer and were quite pleased. It is a charming European-style hotel wonderfully located right in the center of Vail Village. Our room (a "deluxe" room, one step up from the least expensive) was very large and quite nicely appointed. There were two queen beds with nice upholstered headboards, an... more
