In my opinion, Best Western Hotels are hit-or-miss as far as cleanliness and upkeep. We are always very pleased when we stay at one that is in great condition and clean. The room was spacious. The bathroom was very clean. The water drained from the tub (as one would EXPECT) and the shower head was about 7 feet above the... more

My daughter and I stayed in this hotel for one night while visiting the Mission Wolf wolves sanctuary about 45 minutes away. Walsenberg is a small town and there aren't a lot of choices. We paid $100 on Sept. 26 (a Saturday night) by booking that day with Best Western over the phone when we suddenly realized we would need... more

Multiple Stains on Comforter, Large Spider in Bathroom, Smells of Stale Cigarette Smoke. This lodging complex is actually a new hotel surrounded by an old motel. We had to bid online by the number of rooms we needed instead of by the number of beds that we needed. When we arrived, we were given the worst room in the motel... more

Of limited lodging options in Walsenburg, the Best Western is definitely the best choice. It is located just off the interstate with an incredible view of the Spanish Peaks. Clean, comfortable rooms are well-stocked with supplies, and there are a pool, hot tub, and fitness center, along with a small laundry area to wash up those wet swimsuits. Cooked to... more

I booked our room online and purposefully choose the interior entrance rooms because it is a new addition. The exterior entrance rooms are all older but relatively updated. The new rooms are very nice but on the small side for double beds, nicely decorated, great complimentary breakfast with make your own waffles and made fresh breakfast burritoes. Nicely appointed with... more

This hotel has apparently been a lot worse, but from what we could tell, the hotel was exactly what we were looking for. Yeah, sure, it looked a little dated inside our room (furniture, bathroom fixtures, etc), but it was clean, and everything was in proper working order. The Desk clerk was so nice to get us into a room... more

We originally booked this place months ago through Expedia... it was really just an overnight stop on the way to a delayed honeymoon in western CO. But we were totally surprised when we got there- in a good way! First they just opened a new wing, which looks just like any other new 2-story roadside hotel. I guess if you... more

This motel brought back memories. It is reminiscent of the motels we used to stop at when I was a kid. Classic 50's, 60's era motel. I had read the reviews before our trip but was a little worried when I saw the outside(It is 40 or 50 years old). The front desk was friendly and we were all suprised... more

This hotel is pricy for what it is. It is heavily been rebuilt while still selling rooms. The office is temporary and the area outside the rooms is not completely sealed (i.e. there is mud and dust). The rooms are dated but would have been a good standard 10 years ago. My room was clean. It had a view of... more

We booked our hotel on the Best Western website. For the $129.00 we paid, it is definitely not worth it. The rooms are renovated and were clean however The restaurant next door was old and quite run down. There was work going on here and the pool is non existent. Best Western, keep your travellers informed and updated please. more
