Despite the bad reviews we read before we booked, we took a chance on the hotel and were well rewarded. The location was ok, being up the mountain from town across from the ski resort, but we used it as a base for travel throughout the area. We were close to Rocky Mt. National Park, Silverthorne and Dillon, the Black... more

I think most people who have left good reviews on here must have been staying in a different hotel! The minute you walk in the entrance you are hit in the face by steamy chlorine smells, not in a good way and there is no attempt to try and counter this, it isn't pleasant. Secondly to that we were met... more

Winter Park Mountain Lodge was a good-value hotel for the out-of-season 4-night stay with my husband and parents. Our rooms were comfortable and had the basic amenities including internet and coffee-making facilities. During our stay, breakfast was only served at the weekend, but there are places to eat in Winter Park and Fraser town centers a few miles away. In... more

I visited the Winter Park Mountain Lodge in January this year with my girlfriend and we really enjoyed our stay. You are a little distance from the slopes and have to use the shuttle bus which was the only downside. The rooms were clean and comfortable, a good standard considering how little we paid for the holiday and the staff... more

We stayed at this place on Saturday September 19th. You think the resort is nice when you drive up but the very front of the building is all the suites. You have to pay more for the suites. Well our room was in the back...the basic rooms. The attached basic rooms are junk and connected to the back side. This... more

I just want to say up front-this is no reflection on hotel staff. They were friendly and helpful-and concerned. We checked into our room we booked a year ago and without letting us know, it was in a section that allowed pets, had no air, and was extremely old. The first room was tiny, dingy, 1970s decor, looked over the... more

A terrible experience: despite booking a king-size room a full year ahead, we were put in the notorious crumbling pet section at the back of the hotel, right above the rear porch where everyone smokes. An immediate room change was further along in the same section, where the ceiling joists creaked so loudly from the occupants above that we eventually... more

Went to WP to enjoy the mountain in the summer. Location is great, just down the street from the town and mountain. Rooms were OK. They appear to take a beating from the ski season, but we just slept there. Restaurant was fair, WP has better. Nothing to write home about, but good location and cost was low / about... more

First room, window wouldn't shut, second room had ajoining door and looked out over dumpster, third room was upgraded to mountain view, but had bed bugs and ripped carpet. We will NEVER stay here again. Nor will I suggest anyone else to. Pool and hot tubs (one out of order) didn't look anything like the photo. It is dark and... more

I stayed here with wife my two small children in early July '09. There were holes in the walls and burnt out light bulbs in bathroom. Lamps and TV were left unplugged and it took a few minutes to figure out why they wouldn't turn on. Didn't know that it was also a dog hotel. We endured barking dogs that... more
