Our original plan was to visit the Pikes Peak region but in my haste to try & find a place either I didn't realize that I had got off that area & searched Colorado or Trip Advisor showed me all of vacation rentals. But I came across the Elk Run Townhouse & booked it. Good thing we didn't have specific place we had to be :-) our get out of town & 26th anniversary trip. The management staff was wonderful & she told us what Winter Park had to offer. We had arrived a little early for check in but was allowed to go to the townhouse early. It was a good thing because it took a little while to figure out the right driveway to pull into. If we would have tried to find it at night we would have been lost. But when we arrived it started to hail so we appreciated the garage. The locks where different you had to use the key to lock yourself in. But we walked in & it felt like home. It was only the 2 of us but had room enough that next time we will think about bringing our kids & their significant others (maybe). It has a full sized kitchen & everything you need. King sized bed in the main bedroom & full sized bed with an upper bunk & a pull out bed for any other people you may have. It was decorated beautifully. It has 2 bathrooms & the main bathroom has separate restroom & shower. The hot tub was wonderful to set out & watch the sunset or to watch the stars it was so peaceful out most of the time. It was a little cold getting out but we had the fire going so it was nice & toasty inside. You can set out on the balcony & eat your breakfast & drink your coffee something I would Love to do everyday if it wasn't raining it did a lot Labor Day weekend. But would recommend it for anyone & would go back in a heartbeat.…
