The place was dirty. Although it said there was a small kitchen, you had to ask for pans or anything to use in it. They didn't tell you this until you arrived; it was in the info provided in the room. The sofa bed had springs that were not attached to the frame (not just one or two). We stayed... more
This is an older inn just purchased by a young, energetic couple. They are in the process of extensive rennovations and were a pleasure to deal with. We stayed on a 2nd floor room for 11 days in mid-April 2007, and when we opened the curtain Pikes Peak filled up the window. A nice library with free internet access is... more
We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite, and the view from the private balcony was inspiring. The room was clean and the new proprietors were attentive and seemed genuinely interested in our comfort and experience. They even organized a s'mores event around the outdoor fireplace in the hotel's picnic area one night. It even has an authentic clock tower driven by... more
I'm not sure what happened to the other folks here, but I had a nice room with a spectacular view of the mountains. Exactly what I was looking for when I came to visit some family. My room had a full kitchen and an ernormous living room for my kids to play. Not perfect, but far better than the other... more
Desk clerk not friendly. After we saw the room and it was dirty and smelly and wanted our money back she would not credit our card. The continental breakfast was a honey bun and an orange drink in the frig. The chairs on the balcony were broken. Other businesses in town did not have a good things to say about... more
My room advertised "Two Bedroom Suite - Accommodates up to six persons - living room, dining room, full kitchen, two bedrooms and full bath. " In actuality, it had one bedroom with a queen, a queen bed in the "livingroom" and a rollaway bed. I'm still trying to figure out where a sixth person would sleep. The refrigerator didn't work,... more
There are sharp tips from screws protruding through the front from the back of the headboard (caution); the microwave didn't work and had someone else's failed lunch still inside it; and there were old bottled water containers and an historic collection of dust underneath the bed. We stayed in unit #12. There is a great view of Pikes Peak from... more
Everything said by the first reviewer is true. The room was dirty, bathroom fixtures really filthy, and the whole place smelled. Of course they insisted on getting the rent for the remaining night of my reservation -- I think that must be how they stay in business. As if anyone would give 48 hours notice for this place once they... more
We were unfamiliar with the area, as this was our first visit to Woodland Park. We did our lodging research online, checked the Woodland Park Chamber of Commerce (yes it was listed there), and some positive online "reviews" of this property. We were mailed a glossy brochure that touted a mountain view Inn with spacious suites. We took the bait.... more
