We needed a place to stay on our way to Boston, and since there were fireworks (it being the 4th of July) in New London, we thought the Days Inn looked convenient. Although the building looks new, or at least newly renovated, the rooms didn't show that one bit. We had a suite with a queen sized bed and a... more

We booked this hotel because we were traveling with extended family and it was the only place in the area that offered a large suite with a queen bed and two double beds. We travel often but we had never stayed in a Days Inn before because we had a preconceived idea that they are low quality properties. Staying at... more

The price was good. We we drove up to the hotel we thought it would be perfect for us. Front desk person was nice but we noticed a smell in the lobby. We went to the room which was spacious but the smell was not good. The only way to describe it the smell was like stale liquor and body... more

The room was divided into 2 rooms, one with a king bed and one with 2 beds. This was nice for our family of 5. The room was in average condition and was clean. This is an older hotel that they are trying to maintain with a paint brush and some inexperienced maintenance people. For example, the bathroom vanity was... more

Oh, how I wish we read these reviews BEFORE we stayed here. Big mistake. Three of us stayed here 2 nights in their 'suite' ... the one someone in another review describes and couldn't check into because there was a flood. Well I guess they dried it up enough to stick people in there because that's where we were. Room... more

We stayed here for 6 nights total with our 3 children. We originally booked a "family suite" with 1 queen bed and 2 double beds which would have been perfect for all of us. When we arrived, however, we were told that the suite we booked had flooded and since they were overbooked, the only one they had left was... more

I am surprised that this hotel passed health inspection much less quality inspection from the chain. While the hallways had new carpet and painted walls, the rooms were the worst I have ever seen. Problems included curtains with cigarette burns and unidentified matter stuck to them, bathroom vanity with mold in the bottom, and a horrible smell that we could... more

We just got back from Foxwoods. We inititally booked 2 suites (with another couple) at the Days Inn in Groton. When we were researching online for a place to stay, we decided to stay at the Days Inn because it was the cheapest in the area and we figured that a place like the Days Inn had a decent reputation.... more

WE stayed here for Labor Day. We had confirmed with the 800 # a non-smoking suite on the first floor. When we got to the hotel, they only had a smoking room on the third floor. They gave us the key to see if the room was too smoking. However, we couldn't open the door and after several tries someone... more

We paid for what was advertised as a lovely suite with a Queen Bed and a Double Bed. We got there real early and was told our room was being cleaned. Which was fine so we went to the Aquarium for the day and came back around 6:30.....tired and looking forward to relaxing. Low and behold our nice Queen and... more
