I have to admit that I could write a scathing review of this hotel. There were a series of minor issues that could have derailed our stay. Myself and two coworkers traveled to Hartford for a 4 night business stay. The hotel was simple to find. Located near great selection of restaurants, but hotel does provide very nice hot and cold breakfast choices every morning. At the last minute my wife and I switched our reservations from the Hampton Inn in Mystic to the Homewood Suites in Hartford and were not disappointed. stayed 2 nights for conference at nearby arena. Parking right across from hotel but pricey as big cities usually are. Separate sleeping area w/king bed; comfortable living area space; cozy kitchen w/full-size fridge. Free breakfast and also free dinner Mon.-Thurs. Could use more seating in eating area. Very quiet area walking around after dinner. more

I would not ever recommend this hotel!! The staff is extremely unhelpful and it was horribly loud at night!! more

I'm writing this review from my fifth floor room at the Homewood Suites Downtown Hartford...and all I can hear right now is loud bar music and people yelling. My room's not facing the street...but it is facing the bar next door. The neighborhood is pretty creepy, too--which is surprising considering how small and vacant Hartford originally was when I arrived... more

We stayed at the Homewood Suites in Hartford last night (8/2). The front desk staff was outstanding and very helpful. The room was big and very clean. The breakfast food was good. Front desk staff was great. Room was clean, spacious and obviously very new. Nice view and was quiet even though we seemed to be in the middle of it all downtown. Forgot items in room and housekeeping promptly called back and shipped back to us. Great music and BBQ right next door too. Just wish breakfast ran a little later... more

Its very expensive to stay in Downtown Hartford on business, so this is a welcomed alternative to the Holiday Inn Express just down the street.
