I have stayed at the litchfield inn many times over the years, I decided a year ago forget it, a business college suggested we have dinner their during my business trip, I was taken aback by the change. The owners have resumed all the services done by the contract chef and what a change. The food is wonderful. It prompted... more

We came for a friends wedding and loved the hotel. The pictures don't do the hotel justice, it was everything we needed. The rooms were great, beds really comfortable and plenty of space. Good sixe bathroom and even a dressing area. The views were of the grounds and therfore we couldnt have asked for anything better! Breakfast was simple but more... more

Two days before departing for our weekend getaway to the Litchfield Inn, my wife called me at work in a fret after having read the many horrible reviews of this establishment online. I called the Inn to make sure I would be gettiing the deluxe room with all the granite and modern amenities, the one I thought I was reserving... more

We had stayed at The Inn several years ago and vowed we would never return. At that time the restaurant was barely open leaving us to fend for ourselves and there was a musty smell though out the building. After several great reviews from from our area friends we decided to give it one last chance and we were very... more

*rooms were shabby and dirty...although spacious *restaurant, although we were told would be open all day/evening, was only open on the weekends for breakfast....which was dismal and cold (self-help) *front desk was inattentive and not helpful *overpriced!!!! *we were told that , as I was paying for my parents also, that we would be given the AARP discount on all... more

This inn is located in an area with very little competition. Although there are other inns/hotels in the area, they are extremely expensive. That being said, this hotel is def. overpriced, but when you consider the area, it's prob. a deal. The hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room, linens and towels were average at best. The bed... more

I stayed here in early February. There are very few hotels in the area so I chose this one essentially out of necessity. Be aware that in this area there is no cell phone reception at all if you have T-Mobile. Other carriers are fine. Our room appeared to be their "standard" model, with two double beds, which we had... more

We stayed in the Queen Victoria room, which was unexpectedly large, with a king size bed, VCR, fireplace (not sure if it works, though), and a wetbar. The decor is ok, and the property seems to be well maintained, but it seems slightly tired. The staff was accommodating, and the front desk person arranged for the restaurant staff to stay... more

We spent four nights here. Because it was quiet, we were upgraded to one of their deluxe rooms at no cost which was excellent value at that rate. Its a short drive to historic Litchfield centre, which has some good eateries, plus the hotel has a restaurant. The inclusive buffet breakfast was generous. Its quite a big hotel, so I... more

We stayed at the Litchfield because we were attending a wedding receprion held there. I read the reviews and was a bit nervous, but it turned out to be better than expected. If you are expecting an "Inn," it is not. The rooms are located in an addition on the back that is typical of your average commercial chain. As... more
