Location can't be beat, and while the inn itself is nice, I can't help but feel like $200 a night was a bit much. There is a nice little porch outside the room on which you can relax, but with the cleaning staff coming and go constantly, it wasn't very peaceful. I know they have to get their work done,... more

My husband and I stayed at Whaler’s Inn for 2 nights . We wanted to reserve a room in the Hoxie Building but was told that there was nothing available. We ended up staying in the Stonington Bldg. Our interaction with the staff was limited to check-in and check-out. It was a business transaction- nothing overwhelmingly friendly or rude. I... more

Please note that The Whaler's Inn is not a Bed and Breakfast. Often times Inns and B&B's are linked together within travel websites, however we do not categorize ourselves as a Bed and Breakfast. We simply serve a Free Continental Breakfast each morning. Due to our size we are unable to accommodate a full kitchen and state and town regulations...

I stayed at the Inn with my husband for 2 nights. The location was perfect. We never got in the car the entire time. We walked to dinner each night, took a sail out practically from across the street and walked downtown during the day. It was so relaxing. Very classic New Engalnd. The staff knew everything about downtown &... more

We decided to give a try to the Whaler's Inn in Mystic. They were having a stay & dinner special. We booked a luxury room and king bed. About $270 with dinner. The room was fine, but quite a few notches down from luxury. The bed wasn't a king and when we expressed our disappointment they reduced the rate to... more

We stayed on the 3rd level of the Hoxie House at the Whaler's Inn in Mystic, CT. Our beautiful, spotlessly clean room overlooked the Mystic River and the Drawbridge. Room was spacious with loveseat, desk, tv, big bathroom with jacuzzi tub - clean, clean, clean. Nice breakfast buffet with windows looking out on pretty street and fresh flowers on tables... more

The Whaler's Inn is very convenient to downtown Mystic, and the Inn itself was nice and everything seemed clean. However, the bed has seen much better days (we were in room 28 in the Main house). Between the loose bed frame and sagging mattress/box spring, we both had an uncomfortable night's sleep. If you do decide to stay here, call... more
