Jeanine was very friendly, helpful, and full of local history. The location was convenient to Yale & downtown, breakfasts were wonderful, and the home was impeccably clean. The room and bathroom were so cozy I really felt like I was staying someone's home. That was just right for us as a get away after a stressful work week. I have... more

Over spring break my mother and I went on a weeklong tour of Northeast colleges, one of which was Yale, located in the heart of New Haven. After a long, and delayed Amtrak trip from other schools in Philadelphia, Jeannine welcomed us into her warm home graciously, even though our arrival was quite late. On top of that, after we... more

Touch of Ireland is conveniently located near Yale on a nice street. Jeannine and Michael McCann are gracious hosts and do a very nice job running a comfortable B&B. Breakfasts are lovely (great home-baked breads) and flexible. We enjoyed our four days and were glad to have found such a nice spot. We will be back. more

We were pleased with our one-night stay at the inn. The owners were very accommodating and welcoming. However, for future guests, we did have difficulty finding the house as there is no sign out front (the Irish flag was the only clue), so make sure you get good directions and the house number. Also, the curb from the driveway to... more

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit to this charming B&B. It surpassed our expectations in every way. Our hosts, Jeannine and Michael McCann, are delightful and gracious and take pride in their home and in ensuring the comfort of their guests. We booked two adjoining rooms that were spacious and bright. My two sons, husband and I... more

The only bad thing I can say about the Touch of Ireland was compared to other B&B's we've stayed in both in Ireland and New England, it wasn't great. The house was OK - in need of freshening. The breakfasts were good. The hosts were attentive and helpful. We had a nice time, but it wasn't a wow experience. I... more

New Haven is a great city to visit, and the suggestions from Jeanine were helpful. One thing to be aware of - the inn is on a busy street. It wasn't really hot enough for air conditioning when we were there, so we had windows open, and in the front of the house the traffic noise was surprising. We should... more

My husband and I both appreciate our Irish heritage and first visted this B & B in Feb of 2002. Michael, Janine and friends (Tim & Pat) made us feel right at home. We really had a great time. So of course I wanted to share this lovely experience with my parents. Well we had a delightful weekend. We truly... more

When you find a good thing it's really hard to not get nostalgic about it and you are tempted to go back again and see if it really was as good as you remember it. Well it was!!! I found it quite by accident but boy, it was a great find. We went there to just get away from the... more

A very nice place with great hosts! We only stayed one night but wished we had been able to stay longer. We had a nice room, comfy beds, and a clean bathroom. Breakfast was delicious and relaxing. The owners were very accomodating of our early arrival as well as our early departure the next morning. Unfortunately it's too far to... more
