Overall good stay at this hotel. Looked recently renovated hallways. Quiet, surprisingly roomy, and clean room on 7th floor. New bed mattresses. Clean bathroom. Despite the room facing the I-95, it was quiet. One big negative -- noisy A/C-heater unit. Free breakfast was marginal. Breakfast staff busy chatting and didn't really care to replenish the foods. It is about 10... more

Conveniently located off I-95, parking is limited. The woman at check in was very pleasant. The room was disappointing. The window was disgustingly dirty. The bathroom did not look overly clean either. One elevator was a little sketchy as to whether it was working or not, and we had to have our room keys reactivated the day after we checked... more

My stay at LaQuinta got off to a bad start. They were having substantial computer problems and kept messing up my room assignment. My first room was on the 2d floor. Key didn't work. I went back to the front desk and got another key. It still didn't work. After a few tries, a boy opened the door from the... more

Having stayed at other hotels in New Haven over the years I believe this is an excellent choice for Yale graduation weekend. The shuttle service to and from downtown is great. Rooms are larger , quieter ,brighter and have better views than comparable hotels charging three times as much. The included breakfast buffet is adequet. Amenities are sparse more

Definitely the worst place we have stayed in a very long time. Hotel employees, except for one, were rude and did not care at all about the customer. Bath room very dirty and bathtub would not drain. We reported the problem 3 times during a 2-day stay but it never got fixed. Promised transportation to and from Amtrak station not... more

I had stayed at La Quinta before, when it was the Fairfield Inn. Given the limited selection of hotels in New Haven, it is a good, practical choice if you plan to just drop off your child at Yale or some other nearby university. In this visit, I stayed for three nights. The rate, much cheaper than any alternative in... more

Hallways had an overwhelming smell of air freshener or scented cleaning products. I-95 is right in front of the hotel & road noise is a problem. Rates were a good bit less than the other Yale area hotels, but it is also further from campus. more

I stayed at the LaQuinta for three nights on business. It is located next to Interstate 95. The area is not really all that secure, as in I wouldn't go running without a group. I consider convenience to mean you can walk somewhere, the LaQuinta is not convenient to much, especially at night. The place is dumpy and dirty. The... more

This hotel is in the process of transforming over from a Fairfield Inn to a La Quinta. It is a great location if you will be driving all over South Central Connecticut- 5 mins drive to downtown New Haven, easy access to I-95, I-91, Rt. 34, free parking- easy to get in and out. Rooms are old and hallways, elevator,... more
