As a lover of B&B's this place was one of the worst places we have ever stayed. The rooms are dim and musty with scratchy linens and thin towels. The Manager is rude, no internet as promised and the food was mediocre at best. Not to mention that the property is right next to a very loud and busy highway.... more

My Wife and I went there for the Sunday Brunch and very disappointed. When we arrived we were informed that they weren't doing the usual buffet. It was snowing that day and the waitress said they had a lot of cancellations so instead she gave us a list and said we could ordered as much as we wanted and the... more

My husband and I tried the longwood inn after reading about all the awards and zagat ratings they received. We were greeted by a guy in jeans and sneakers and he took us to our table right away. They brought us bread and it was dry and hard. My meal was supposed to be seafood crapes however the filling had... more

We went to the restaurant at the Longwood for Sunday brunch. It was the worst dining experience we ever had. There were a few tiny stale muffins in the bread bin and the chafing dishes were out of food. A cook was standing at a table making waffles. I asked for one and she said she would bring it over... more

While we do our best to make sure everyone is satisfied with their experience, it is only realistic that sometimes we are not able to make everyone happy. We used to serve an ala carte brunch which included a bloody mary with each meal. We switched to a buffet brunch due to customer demand. This customer was unhappy from the...

After 3 weeks travel in New England this was the only bad experience. The "Yellow room" was very small , the wardrobe was dirty with "iron dry cleaners "coatracks. Some dirty plastic bags were left behind in the wardrobe. The "bathroom" was ridiculously small , the window was dirty and overlooking the roof without a proper curtain. Dinner was the... more

I have curiously watched the restoration of this lovely country classic from the viewpoint of the road I often travel. From the outside, I could see the grounds and building being reclaimed to their former beauty. I was curious to find out what was going on so when the Longwood Country Inn and Restaurant finally re-opened under new ownership in... more

I don't think you can find a more perfect get-away location than Longwood Counrty Inn. It is a beautiful Inn dating from 1789, with five lovely guest rooms - the one we stayed in had period furnishings, jacuzzi tub and fireplace. We loved Woodbury, with all of its antique shops, and lovely charm as a New England town. But the... more

My wife and I recently stayed at Longwood Country Inn Bed and Breakfast actually in Woodbury, CT. This is Litchfield County known in the area (being relatively close to New York City) as the Antiques capital. The bed and breakfast is very nicely appointed. They even have high speed internet connectivity so that I could check my Friday afternoon email,... more

My wife and I had a delightful overnight at a small B&B just south of the Woodbury town line. The Longwood Inn has just 4 rooms, but it is quiet, informal and just nice enough to recommend to a friend. The owner is a little reserved but makes an effort to welcome you. The restaurant downstairs, Corriander, is OK foodwise... more
