First of all, I would like to say that this hotel has excellent personnel working here. Every morning they are very pleasant and always hard at work to accomodate guests. The continental breakfast was enjoyable and you even get to make your own waffles. The hotel is in a great location and has a shopping center close by equipped with... more

We booked the Ramada in Newark because nearly every hotel between Rehoboth Beach and Milford, DE was full. Turned out that we were there during a NASCAR weekend. The Ramada served our needs well. It was clear that it had recently been refurbished. Rooms were clean, and I didn't notice any strange odors as other reviewers have mentioned. The woman... more

The only problems I had with the place were the odors. The first room they gave me, a "non-smoking" room, absolutely reaked of stale cigarette smoke. I asked for a new room and the clerk switched me with no problem or attitude. The new room had a smell also and was kinda stuffy. The AC took care of the stuffiness,... more

Good value for a night ($56), but not sure I would stay here again. Rate includes continental breakfast. Friendly staff. Some rooms smelled stuffy and the aisle was definitely stuffy. Our bathrrom smelled musty. You can definitely hear your neighbor's alarms going off, door opening/closing in hallway, etc. Easy access off I-95, and quite convenient to other major local roads... more

Normally I do not prefer Ramada. But this one is an exception. It seems be renovated one or two years ago. So bathroom, carpets, furniture, aircondition, wall paper, matress are new. Simple and clean. Not smelly or disgusting. Staff at reception always friendly and receptive. Continental breakfast is offered. A selection of cereals, toast, different jelly, different juices, milk, coffee,... more

During my stay at this hotel, 3-4 times per month, I have always found it to be very refreshing. The staff is very nice and personable, the room is clean and warm to the sight. Compared to other hotels with Brand names based on price and what is provided, this is definitely the best return on my "dollar." Additionally, the... more

STAY AWAY!! The whole place smells and although the young night clerk was very helpful in getting another room, the second room still smelled like smoke. Worse, the carpets had not been cleaned for a while! There were crumbs and other assorted items on the carpet - don't go barefoot and definitely wear flip flops in the shower! The cleaning... more

My family and I stayed overnight at the Ramada Newark Delaware in September 2008. The front desk staff was quite pleasant upon our arrival, and our check out was extremely easy, just with a phone call to the front desk. Our room was comfortable, extremely clean, and quite spacious. The queen size beds were a welcome treat! We would not... more

Pros - clean bedding, Refrigerator and microwave in room, quiet room, bathroom clean but on the older side. All staff very very nice and personable. Breakfast - had a large assortment of danish, bagels, cereal, etc. Cons - smells like an old bowling alley. Couldn't get over it. The entire hotel just smells. It is a non-smoking hotel, so the... more

There was renovations going on during my stay, and since they are trying to improve the place, I won't ding them on that. The place was o.k., but seemed to be simply a room with a bed and television. Suprisingly to me, the on-premisis restaurant is closed on Mondays. There was no business center either. Fortunately, there are lots of... more
