This is the first time I have stayed at this property since the 1990's. It was a Radisson and now is a Doubletree. I landed this hotel on Priceline.com for $42 before tax. The hotel is fine, nothing bad to say except the location is not ideal if you want to eat, drink and be merry in downtown Wilmington - you have to drive about 10 miles of a somewhat confusing pathway. My experience at this hotel was OK. No problems to report. Quick, friendly check in, including the wonderful, warm, famous Doubletree cookies. The one negative I experienced was the size of the room. My family and I stayed at the Doubletree during Presidents weekend for an extended stay since the kids were out of school. The staff was nice and this hotel has a great location. The mall is next door and Regal Cinemas is nearby. The Indoor Pool is a plus! more
