The ocean is always wonderful at this park but the quality of other campers and park staff would make it harder for me to camp there again. Number of park staff was less from the year prior and staff working were not wanting to work or enforce campground rules. Number of volunteers were also down. more

What a great campsite in the florida keys, about 30 minutes from key west. The park is very clean with great beaches for swimming. I highly recommend the sandspur camping areas for those with tents. The spaces come with water and electricity and some sites have trees providing shade. more

A beautiful state park. We stayed at the Sandspur Campground, # 62, listening to the waves crash in all night long. The higher numbers there will be closer to the beach, but anything along the beach will be wonderful. The only thing that was lacking was coolness-very hot in August in Florida. Book way ahead. We stayed in Buttonwood, site 23 on the water. You get the site you reserve. The ideal site at Buttonwood are 12 through 20.
