We stopped for a drink a couple of weeks ago and just had to go back to sample the food, this we did yesterday and we were not disappointed. The food we had was well presented, beautifully cooked, hot and very tasty. The staff are friendly and there is a good choice of beer. We will definitely be calling again.

My husband and I visited the hare and hounds yesterday for a late lunch. It was a beautiful day and we found a table outside in the sunshine. The menu was varied and reasonably priced. The food was freshly cooked and the portions generous. The stafff were friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit.

We stayed one night while travelling through the Lake District - very comfortable room, good dinner and friendly, helpful staff. Everything you could want in a B&B. Would definitely use again if in the area.

We stayed for three nights in a very comfortable room with a beautiful bathroom. I don't think I've ever stayed in a hotel with such a clean bathroom. A hidden gem. Great welcome from both staff and the atmosphere (Thursday night is quiz night with free nibbles for the losers!) Food and drink excellent.
