I was excited about staying here since I had read very good reviews. We could not believe when we arrived at this place. First of all it is Right On The Road. We were supposed to stay at the biggest cottage, number 1 and I could hear the cars like they were in the room with us. It adjoins the... more

The owner of these cottages actually asked us to leave. Why? Well were told 2 times they had a place to park a truck pulling a boat. When we got there the only parking was single slots along the highway. He said we could back the trailer in and unhook it, only trouble was that the truck had to sit... more

Quaint bordering on tacky outside, but vey clean inside Plenty of hot water and a comfy bed.. Very welcoming for my 50 lb. dog. Most other guests had a dog as well. We had a small kitchen with a delightful assortment of dishes. Restaurants in town are ok, but limited. There is a small grocery in town. Major chain grocery... more

This place is just plain nice. My wife and I along with our doxie love this place. I have never ever had trouble with the O'Neals. It has always been very well kept. In fact we have stayed at a number of nice chain hotels that weren't as well kept. At night after 9 pm you will think you are... more

Small property with cottages on the main street. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Had canoe, fishing rod and bike rentals. Close to shopping and day excursions on the water. Cute little coffee spot down the street also very nice. more

Just returned from a week at Cedar Key. Our family of 4 stayed in cottage # 1. It was very clean and comfortable. The only thing I could possibly complain about would be the VERY small bathroom. The only bathroom is in the master bedroom and small doesn't even describe it. Otherwise, everything was very nice. We had 2 nice... more

We stayed at Pirate's Cove over Thanksgiving weekend and couldn't have been happier! We live on a barrier island only accessible by boat and needed a "getaway" without a beach, a resort, and all the people who want to "getaway" to our island on holiday weekends. Cottage #7 had everything we could want - a comfortable bed, a full kitchen,... more

My husband and I have been going to Cedar Key for the last 6 years and have always stayed at Pirates Cove Cottages. We have always found them to be clean and neat and they are all decorated really cute. The owners, John and Donna, and their son Justin, have always been very nice and always accommodating. It is great... more

The new owners are so different from the old owners. be very cautious!!! The view was great but the cabins needed paint and fixing up, we didn't mind that much. The new owners were very miserly with the hot water for showering and washing the dishes. They smiled at you when you asked for hot water but never delivered .... more
