i was sent to the buena vista hotel when another hotel gave my paid reserved room to someone else. first negative was young men running up and down stairs slamming doors and yelling at each other. second was the condition of the furniture. not so much that it was old, but it was in extremly poor condition. third was the... more

I had booked a room (Expedia) at the nearby Radisson Hotel, but when I checked in they told me they had "a fire" and I was supposed to stay at the Buena Vista. Terrible motel. The first thing I noticed was there were no lampshades on any of the lamps. I notified the front office, but they did nothing. I... more

I loved this property. The staff was friendly and outgoing. The rooms are in the process of being rentavated. The hotel Manager michelle is so helpful. My favorite area is the pool. You can always feel welcome there. Katie at the front desk is wouldful and goes that extra mile to help you.. I would stay there again more

This was our third stay in this facility. What was once a comfortable, if not fancy, lodging is now a flophouse. The room smelled bad when we opened the door. There were flying insects in our room. The room furniture was broken and shabby, the room needed painting and the ceiling was gouged. The door looked as if it had... more

This property, formerlty an Econolodge, has really gone down the drain. My family have stayed often over the years...but no more!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everything from hookers to junkies and dogs in the swimming pool I witnessed. Managemente/Owners must act very quickly and take sure-fire remedial action. Dirty rooms, lack of towels, faulty doelectronic door locks, are MINOR problems. Apparently part of the... more

The worst Hotel I have ever stayed in. I would not even let my 18 month old grandson on the floor or in the bathtub. This Hotel was booked by someone as part of a baseball tournament. The first night they put us in a room on the ground floor that the sliding glass door did not shut or lock.... more

For $80 a night I don't expect luxury, but I do expect a chain as large as Econo Lodge to offer a room that doesn't look as though a Samuri warrior has been using the furniture to practice on. Everything is terribly outdated, too. The surface of the bathtub was worn through, the fixtures are pitted, formica counters are chipped.... more

This is not only somewhere I wouldn't stay again, but has given EconoLodge a bad name for me. I stayed there in Feb '05, and had a miserable experience. Not only were the rooms outdated, the AC unit actually came out of the wall when I turned it on. Maintence came up, pushed the wall unit back in and said... more

While the hotel itself was fine (but there are others in Clearwater that are at least as nice for half the price), and it is located right on the beach, it is next door to THE party hotel in Clearwater and the noise from that hotel is out of control. They have bands and DJs into the wee small hours... more

I came down to see the Phillies and decided to stay at the Econolodge for the 2nd year in a row. The staff is very friendly, my room and bed were very comfortable and I always felt welcome. We had a free continental breakfast every morning hosted by a super-nice guy named Jack. He greeted everyone who came in and... more
