If you are in the Merritt Island area on business and you're cheap like I am, you might consider staying at the Apollo Inn.

My stay there was for 2 weeks in early June.

The hotel is intended more for business travellers than tourist. This means that you aren't going to be kept awake at night from people that have nothing to do the next morning but sleep in.

There is no restaurant there but are many closeby.

I would stay again for a similar work trip in the future.
