I have read some of the reviews. There are do not disturb signs right on the inside of the doors. all you have to do is put it on the outside. also the comforter thing. is more like a cover on the bed. ON THE OCEAN BEACH. Make sure you ask for the 2 nights get one special offer. It makes this location a great value on the beach for those on the budget. The staff at the hotel were very nice. It was spring break for the college kids when we went. I thought this would be disastrous, but we were put on one of the top floors so we didn't have to hear any of what was going on. My boyfriend and I went from March 19-23. We had an oceanfront efficiency on the 5th floor. The total for the four nights was $470. The beach is located in Daytona Beach Shores, south of Daytona. We had an oceanview room at Emerald Shores. Hotel was nice enough and seemed clean enough, but could have used some dusting around furniture items and lamps. Hallways smelled a little musty. Have stayed here in the past and just spent another nights stay on 10/26/08. Property has eight floors and the ocean view is beautiful !! Hotel was very dirty. Very unsatisfied. Numerous problems from mold in several locations, to filthy comforters with holes. Blood on the bathroom door? Peeling ceiling. Cigarette butts on balcony. Tile and grout was extremely dirty. Please do not stay here! Beach was nice because it was not crowded. more

We planned to stay at this hotel 8/6/08 -8/9/08....we did not spend one night at this place!! It was filthy...the floors, the balcony, and even the a/c unit had dust, crumbs and/or beer bottle caps on it!! What a grand stay we had.
