Destin on the Gulf is the greatest place to stay in Destin. You get a free round of golf every day, free deep sea fishing, free tickets/mini golf at The Track just for staying there. It's really affordable and the condos are nice. It's typically a pretty laid-back quiet place as well. It also is next to a bunch of houses with large property to the left so there isn't too much crowding on the beach because you can expand that way.

The only downfall is that this area of the beach, due to hurricanes, global warming, etc. are diminishing and in a few years there may not be much beach to speak of, such as the Jetty East which is just a few resorts down from D on the G. more
