We stayed in the campground for 2 nights. The site was so big we could have parked 2 RVs in it, plus a tent on the neat, clean, gravel pad. The vegetation between sites provides almost complete privacy. The restrooms were immaculate, and had laundry facilities as well. If you haven't been to Destin in a while and need a great vacation, try the area. We stayed at Henderson Beach State Park which was clean, quiet, and extremely close to shopping, food, and the beach. The beach is accessed by a wooden board walk that is fairly flat for strollers, etc. and only open to the park campers.... more
My husband and I stayed at Henderson Beach State Park Campground in May of 2007. Overall it was a very good experience. The sites and bath houses are very well maintained.
