After going down in that area for 30 plus years we finally tried the Sportsman's Lodge. The rooms were clean The beds were nice,and the view of the bay was outstanding. They really made our stay relaxing. We will definitley be back. Thanks Edda!! more

My husband & I stayed here for three days the week after Christmas. It was not fancy, but it was clean and reasonable. It is a short 5 minute drive to Apalachicola and about 10 minutes to St. George Island, so the location is good. It is located right on the bay. Our room was old, with wood panelling and plenty of striped wallpaper, but clean--although smoking was allowed in there, and you could smell it.
