We went down to Everglades City for the weekend to do some sight seeing at the National park and a little fishing. We arrived at the motel on Friday and were greeted by a very nice young man who was extremely helpful. The rooms were newly remodeled and very comfortable. The gentleman at the desk helped us find a great... more

This is the place to stay in Everglades City. It was recommended to us as an inexpensive yet good place to stay, and really exceeded expectations. The current owner has been hard at work over the last year upgrading, and has plans for further upgrades. The rooms are spacious, and very clean. We had one minor issue with the refrigerator... more

We stayed there for 1 night in April 2009. There are not many choices in Everglades City. The room was adequate; nothing special, but no problems either. No breakfast is included, but they give you a discount coupon for the restaurant next door. The biggest issue is paper thin walls. We had a very loud group in the room next... more

Huge room with big flat screen tv, stylish bathroom with lots of black marble and lovely toiletries. Very clean and quiet. Had a back door which was handy for the restaurant behind the motel. Great food in the restaurant the Backcountry Cafe. Would be happy to return here. more

Upon entering our room, it seemed decent for the $99 we paid. Nothing fancy, but it seemed adequate. However, once I rolled back the covers on the bed, I was shocked. There were several small hairs and a piece of popcorn in the sheets! I picked up a pillow, and there was yet another hair, a long one this time!... more

Stayed 1 night on our road trip around Florida. Were very pleasantly surprised as not sure what to expect. Room had recently been refurbished - all new fittings. Beautiful black marble bathroom. Everywhere was spotless and beds were very comfy. Owners/Managers? don't speak brilliant English but were more than happy to help. There was a lack of crockery and cutlery... more

This hotel was a wild ride. First impression - Gads, what a lovely black granite bathroom - brand new. And look, a lovely kitchenette. But, wait, there are no dishes, glasses or anything. The beds are a bit lumpy. And where do we hang up anything. No closet, no hook, no towel rack - nothing. Ok, it is clean, so... more

Driving up it looks like a dive but the rooms have been fixed up such as to be brand new. I think a few rooms are still being worked on. The staff is friendly and they also own Captain Ron's Airboat . The only complaints about the rooms are that there is no place to hang anything though they have... more

We booked this hotel/motel after seeing some of the reviews in Trip-Advisor, now I wish if we did not. On arrival we were allocated room number 2 by a young lady who attempted to communicate with us in English but was not very successful. The room had two beds with very hard but low pillows and very noisy bed even... more

We stayed here for one night in Room #7. The room had been recently remodeled to update it - tile floors, wall hung lcd tv, marble countertops, and a beautiful bathroom. It was just as good if not better than fancy hotels like the hyatt or marriott. The room is pretty sparse with a mini fridge, desk and chair, nightstand,... more
