It's truly breathtaking when you walk through the doors! I highly recommend this place if your in Everglades city, food was great & the staff! The history is great as well...We will be returning as soon as we can!!

What a find. The hotel is beautiful. Sadly there are no rooms in the building( the upper floors have not been used since the 70's); the rooms are in cottages, which are clean and comfortable with private screened porches. The Rod and Gun is a very interesting place to visit. Lots of old world charm but could definitely benefit from some tlc. The bed was very rickety and uncomfortable. Bring your own toiletries because they only supply soap! We loved the private screened porch but would have appreciated a coffee maker in the room or in the lobby.
