We spent four nights in the "cottage" adjacent to and part of this property. The Ivey House is very organized and the staff bend over backwards to answer questions and offer a range of activities in the region. The public areas, including the breakfast room, were clean and cheerful. We were pleased with the generous and varied breakfast offerings especially... more

Needed a place to stay as we traveled from Orlando to the Keys via the Gulf Coast. The Ivey was a pleasant surprise - very clean, comfy beds, beautiful courtyard, filling breakfast. Didn't plan on doing anything more then sleeping, eating and heading off the next day but after reading the visitor's guide that is in the room and talking... more

Great functional hotel, close to where you need / want to be. Very helpful and friendly staff - nothing too much trouble and great connections with all the 'attractions'. The rooms were clean and the hotel was well maintained. Would highly recommend for a short stay in The Everglades. more

We found the staff helpful and friendly with much information about the area. The rooms, although basic, were spacious and spotless. A highlight of our stay was the sunset boat trip with Capt. Rodney - no fish, but a pair of friendly dolphins and hundreds of birds! Simply beautiful! We'll return. more

The staff is very friendly and willing to help. When we arrived, we discovered that we had accidentally booked for a wrong date. This was no problem at all and it could be changed without any additional costs. It is close to a few restaurants of which we liked "the seafood depot" the best. The rooms were clean, well maintained... more

The Ivey House was perfect for our Everglades visit. Our room was quiet, spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast, included with room, offered variety and was good with real oatmeal - not instant. They focus on being environmentally responsible and recommend local tour operators who are like minded. The staff arranged two excellent outings for us - an Everglades kayak tour... more

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Ivey House, in the new section. While this is not a "high end" hotel, the accomodations are what we would want in the natural setting of the Everglades. The accomodations exceeded our expectations. The room was quite large & clean & had nice features like refrigerator and wi-fi (it did work... more

This is a very comfortable hotel (not a quaint bed and breakfast) that also includes breakfast. The rooms are modern and comfortable and there is a lovely landscaped indoor pool. The staff is very helpful and will set you up with several different ways to experience the Everglades, depending on your comfort level with adventure. The price is very reasonable... more
