We have visited Amelia Island many times in the past-and have truly loved the little barrier island.This time was special because we were finally able to spend a month in an oceanfront condo at The Pelicans.We were in a nicely decorated 2 bedroom condo with a deck over the pool and the boardwalk to the Atlantic.One of my friends visited for the first week and my son stayed the last 4 days .The weather varies there-and the sea breeze cools off the area in the afternoon.The golf course is just a half mile down the road and is open to the public and challenging to play.The managers are really nice people and easy to deal with-they try to make your stay the best.The Chamber of Commerce in the town of Fernandina was the best in giving you info on where to go and what to experience.WE WILL RETURN. more
