I have to preface this review by saying that we rarely write about our experiences. However, based on the very negative reviews that have been written, we felt compelled to post something. I will admit that we almost cancelled because of what we had read. We have travelled to many locations all over the world and know what luxury accomodations... more

We stayed at the Whale Watch over the Memorial Day weekend. We had an Ocean front room. It was roomy enough, older furniture, very tiny TV. The door did not have a deadbolt, and you could see light through some of the cracks. I was with my husband, but would not feel secure if alone. The shower water pressure was... more

We have stayed at Whale Watch 3-4 times a year for the last two years. Our dogs love it, we love it! We sit back and relax. When you chose to stay at an "Old Florida" motel you have the freedom to relax and not worry. Barry and Patricia are awesome, anything you need they will do their best to... more

We spent two weeks at the Whale Watch with our three Golden Retrievers and had a wonderful time. Our cottage was comfortable and clean and our hosts, Barry and Pat, were wonderful. We felt like we were staying with friends. We met several people while we were there and have kept in touch. It is so nice to be with... more

Yes, the cottage was fine but the grounds are terrible. Everything is dead. There are old rusty appliances near the laundry room just sitting there, painting is peeling on all the buildings, screen doors are missing or have no screens, weeds and dead plants everywhere; it's a wasteland! Then there are these short concrete cylinders in front of the rooms... more

This place was simple, relaxing and a great value. It exceeded my expectations. It looked kind of dumpy from the outside, but inside, the rooms were clean and functional. The bathroom was a little bit small, but it had a good kitchen. This was the perfect motel for sitting on the beach and doing nothing. more

My Husband and I have been visiting the Whale Watch on and off for five years. Everytime we visit, whether we are with family or just the two of us, we are always greeted with a smile and anything we need is just a moment away. We are a family with many dogs, at one visit with our entire family... more

Our weekend away in January was really great. The weather was stormy, the ocean was rough and we loved every minute of it. I loved my walks with my dog along the beach and feeling the sea mist on my face. I really needed this relaxation to restore my soul. We found the Motel to be very very clean with... more

This is a singular experience that you will not get at any hotel chain or resort. The Whale Watcher keeps alive what everyone dreams of having in a vacation. But first you have to give the city of Flagler Beach credit for creating an opportunity such as this. As I was told, there is a city ordinance that prohibits structures... more

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful weekend at the Whale Watch Hotel at Flagler Beach. We were celebrating out 1st wedding anniversary and Barry and Patricia, as they did a year ago when we married on the beach in front of the Hotel, made it special. With there smiling faces, a chilled bottle of champagne in the... more
