First of all The Shell Resort rooms do not look like the photos on the internet. The outside of the Shell is nice, the pool is great and I love the balcony with the little chairs so you can sit outside. The place is great until you walk into the room! It was dirty and cramped. The air conditioner was so loud that I had to sleep with a pillow over my head. The second day I was there the manager knocked on the door and said I had to step out of the room because they were spraying for bugs, right then. I had no time to cover anything. After they sprayed she let me back into the room. I aired out the room for about 2 hours and then left for the day, the next morning I woke with a headache and sore throat. All I can say is spend a little more cash, because the Shell Resort is as cheap as it should be, and stay at a decent place. more
