My wife and I stayed from 4/29 - 5/2. I read many of the reviews before I left, so I was aware of the issues and recommendations. First, let me state, that we did not pay for our stay, being that I used my rewards points and we went w/o our children for the first time in a long time,... more

Awful. Did not get room we requested, room was dirty and the front desk could care less, the elevator was out of service for hours one day, fire alarm rang nightly for no apparent reason. .I did like marriott but now look for any alternative. We called marriott HQ is DC and they did not really care about our crappy... more

We've been coming here for years (own a unit) and still enjoy it--spacious, well appointed, friendly staff. The planned renovation this year is overdue. Upholstery and rugs are worn, paper peeling, but it's kept clean, everything works. The mall at ground level is almost empty--restaurants and retail are mostly gone. more

We recently stayed here for 4 nights. I booked thru Mariott vacations. WE were offered a 4 night package and had a 90 min sales presentation. WE had a corner villa overlooking the intercoastal. Very nice accomodations, great view, large kitchen, livingroom, bedroom, bath and balcony. Quiet side of the building so we could sleep with the door open, which... more

I have been coming here once a year since BeachPlace opened in '97 or '98. My parents are owners. Last year this place was looking very worn and tattered. This year was worse. I guess some people like it because they never saw it when it was great. BUT with the newer and fancier construction on the beachfront this place... more

We stayed in a two bedroom condo and were quite happy with the hotel, its location, and the staff. However, if you're looking for a very high-end experience, you WILL be disappointed. The room looked and felt like other Marriotts we've stayed at but it was starting to feel its age. Wallpaper was peeling in the outside halls and in... more

We stayed at this hotel 2 weeks prior to spring break and loved it. 2 adults, 2 children under age 8. Don't believe all the negative stuff you read on about this hotel. THE GOOD: Location, location, location. Great Beach, Shopping, Restuarants, Kids Activities, Gym, Staff. Los Olas is great and the IMAX/Kids Museum as well. Take the Trolley if... more

Beachplace towers grew on my husband and I. At first we didn't like the hustle and bustle of the location but then we realized that this is the place to be on Ft Lauderdale beach. All of the fun restaurants are right at your door. We rented a car and realized quickly that we didn't need it, or the $17/day... more

Stayed here on January 31st with a party of four. We paid $350 for one night after all the taxes and were put in an ocean view room on the top floor (19th). The room was clean, but had peeling wall paper and was a bit outdated. The view was awesome. The beach was great. Being right next to shopping... more

We are a Marriott Timeshare owner and traded for a week at Beach Place Towers. The rooms are very good and clean. The river view rooms (not oceanfront) are actually the best. They are quieter and have a great view of the city and the intercoastal waterway. The higher up the better. You can sit and watch the yachts go... more
