The Guest House is located in the gated Shell Point retirement community. The community is AWESOME with a marina, community garden, orchid greenhouse, small beach, woodshop, model train exhibit, salon/spa, pool table, library, gym, swimming pool, gift shop of residents' handmade crafts, shuffleboard courts, walking trail, transit, cafe and fine dining restaurant. The Guest House is a typical two-story block building with standard motel rooms. The staff and residents are very welcoming. The location is great - just before the causeway to Sanibel and a few minutes to downtown Ft Myers or Ft Myers Beach. The community is very quiet so if you're looking for a relaxing place to stay this is it. The streets roll-up around 9pm so if you're a partier or have wild kids this probably isn't the place for you. We're 30-somethings and really enjoyed our stay. more
