I booked a room at this hotel and it was horrible. They have vagrants wondering the property, people not staying at the hotel picnicing and everywhere you turn, some crack head is carrying beer. Upon checking into our room they assigned us a room that hadn't been cleaned (and we could only assume was still occupied by someone). We found dirty underwear and used condoms on the floor. Eventually they were able to get us into another room however the next day we didn't find any clean linens when we returned to our room.... more

The Newberry Inn Gainesville is disgusting. Dirty towels were left in room from previous guests. Most of the team for the girls softball tournament stayed here because of the great rate ($49). Our family didn't expect a 5 star hotel, so we went in with little expectations.
