We spent a couple days in the Homosassa Springs Area. The whole river area is just neat. Last Resort was a good home base. Wish we could have stayed longer. more
I stayed at this "resort" over Labor Day weekend with my boyfriend. The location was great since it was near things to do while still very quiet. The view from the balcony was very nice since it overlooked the water. The management provided a handful of brochures for local things to do as well as some restaurants in the area.... more
What a special place this is! It is right on the River and just far enough away from all the busy busy other resorts like McRae's that it makes you feel so at home. You don't have to pay extra for dockage or ramp use. We had a GREAT time! The rooms aren't even rooms, they are apartments - HUGE!... more
We loved this place. If you stay in Homosassa, you need to stay here. Betty and Jerry, who own and manage The Last Resort, live right on the premises and are just wonderful. Our stay was wonderful. The cottages are well equipped and the views are fantastic! They all overlook the Homosassa river. We watched dolphins and manatees go by during our stay. They also rent pontoon boats (reasonable) right there, so you can cruise the river or go 7 miles out to the Gulf of Mexico. The couple running it make you... more
