My wife and two small children rented a condo on the second floor of the Chateau in May, 2005. The condo was excellent. The weather was perfect. All the Chateau units are one bedroom units. Our kids stayed on the pull-out couch. The setup was great. The pool was heated - very welcome after a day at the beach and cool (yet refreshing) gulf water. We went during off-peak times so the unit was not overcrowded. The beach was right off the elevator/stairs. You could walk for miles in either direction. It was so relaxing. John's Pass is about five miles away for some entertainment. The local restaurants are excellent as well. We wish we could go back every year. We highly recommend it.
