Hotel rooms had updated decor which was nice, but the hotel overall seemed really old. Obviously very humid. Beach was NOT a beach. Sunsets were nice. A bit expensive...but I guess you pay for it being "the keys". more

Stayed 2 nites in mid-Sept 2009. Free parking - which was very nice! Nice pool - room 102 had great view of Bayside. Excellent breakfast at Gus Grille located within. Very nice exercise rooms (plural). Overall - a great value for the $$ ($130/nite in mid-september). Free use of PC located in hotrel lobby. more

Key Largo was a bit of a disappointment. Not much going in this town. The beach resort was the best part. I highly enjoyed the pool side tiki bar. The food was great. The pool was very crowded. We just got back from our quick trip to Key Largo. The room had two queen comfortable beds, a pretty decent shower and a beautfiul view of the Bay/Gulf. The furinishing were nice enough and looked recently up-dated. The pool area had a bar and chairs around the pool and little beach. There was lots of activity around the pool... more

Honestly, it's getting harder and harder to find consistent feedback on hotels on TripAdvisor. I think the challenge is that some people stay in Motel 6's and find anything above average as fantastic and others stay in much nicer places and find anything average as terrible.
