Myself and two friends stayed here for 3 wonderful days. The rooms are large, clean, comfortable, and quite charming. Staff-wonderful, the added plus here is the rum bar on the first floor when we arrived on Sunday, Mike was at the bar, he was so very helpful, resturants, activities do, and went beyond what was expected. So if you are looking... more

place was on duvall so close enough to the nightlife and sights, but just far enough to not be in the middle of the madness ... room was clean and bright ... the little bar on the first floor was awesome, bartenders know their stuff and we learned a lot about rum ... would go back in a heartbeat ... more

This was our second visit to the Speakeasy, and it won't be our last. Rooms are clean and simple, not a lot of stuff you don't need. They do have a unique flair, very appropriate to the island. Lobby bar is a big plus. Building has unique history, which adds a local flavor. Located on Duval but a short walk... more

This hotel was a very good value in a place where most places are really expensive. The room was nice, but minimalistic. There was no central air, but the window unit worked well. The walls are very thin. The door to the bathroom was louvered, so the person in the other room could hear everything going on in the bathroom...... more

This hotel did not have flashy rooms but cozy and clean. Felt like a house guest. Perfect location right on Duvall Street and the owners are the kindest couple who helped us with where to go out and bent over backwards to help us find another hotel when we decided to extend (twice because we loved the hotel and town... more

Two ladies stayed at the Speakeasy Inn over the Thanksgiving holiday and had a wonderful time. The room we had was front and center, above Duval Street. Our room was basic, not luxurious, but clean. I think we were the only guests in that part of the hotel, since we never saw anyone else on the floor. We enjoyed looking... more

Not at all what was expected, and the owner was rude and unreasonable. After calling the Speakeasy desk person twice to verify exactly what we were getting, my husband and I booked what we thought was basically a studio apartment with a kitchen. Our trip to Key West was for 10 days and we planned to set up a home... more

We stayed here for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. We stayed in the room above the store which had a private balcony facing both Duval and the back garden. The back garden has a quite waterfall, 2 chairs with umbrellas shading them and is beautiful landscaped. We never saw anyone back there and it felt like our own... more

The Speakeasy Inn in located on Duvall St., but away from the noisy area. It is in a great location and you can walk just about anywhere. The rooms are clean and crisp. The only complaints I have.....no breakfast, no maid service daily, and no fresh linens....they came to empty our trash once and gave us clean towels. The towels... more

My husband and I just returned from a 5 night stay at the Speakeasy Inn. This was a great place to stay for a great rate. We stayed in the loft above the adjacent property, which had a private balcony on the rear. The room was very nice - full size bed, pull out couch, TV, fridge, microwave, coffee maker,... more
