The major reason I chose the Pegasus was the rate: $119 per night during season! Granted, that rate is only available Sunday through Thursday but that is an unbeatable price in Key West. I couldn't agree more with most of these reviews.I asked for non-smoking room,didn't get it. In my room there was an ashtray filled with cigarettes! THE woman at the front desk is rude to say the least!The pool is not heated ,as they say..The worst was the bugs,though..UNBELIEVABLE!! I woke up to find them in and all over my purse.... more

I had stayed here with friends in 2000 & 2003 - both time I had a wonderful experience!!! Not so this time in 2005..when we arrived ... if it wasn't one thing it was another. We recently stayed at the Pegasus and thought it was a great. Outdated decor in the room but it was very, very clean and you just can't beat the location. Great location.....that's the only positive comment that I can make. The room had that musty/moldy smell that won't go away. The carpet was damp - probably explains the smell issue. We went to wedding in KW we booked 10 rooms. Why else do you go to the keys? To party. All you do in a hotel is sleep! The ad says 'free wireless internet' - you can only access the net in the 100 sq ft lobby. Ad says 'heated pool' - the hot tub was luke -warm the pool was very cold. The whole staff is rude and lazy. If you are looking for a great location and that's all – this is your place. more
