Wherever you roam on the island this inn is close by. The cocktail hour and breakfast were thrilling moments because of the guests. The roosters are protected by law and run wild. We were at Marrero's in mid September and we loved it. The mansion is old and charming....high ceilings....large rooms and a great clothing optional pool which we enjoyed everyday. Our only disappointment was we didn't see the ghost! Everything else about our stay (our first) was exceptional. We'll definitely go back next year. John and Alisa are wonderful. This was our first stay at Marrero's, but it won't be our last. The people-- both staff and other guests-- were very friendly. The daily complimentary Happy Hour was relaxing and fun. The clothing-optional pool provided a great deal of privacy. Finally, the house itself is absolutely beautiful. We're already planning our next trip. more
