I love the excitement of Duval Street, the smell of the ocean at the docks, the sand at Smathers Beach and most of all those darn skooters. I dont need all the amenities a hotel offers when you have a place like Key West (all thats happening is out doors..not in a hotel). An apt was the way to go for me - it was cheaper and allowed me the money to do the activities I wanted to do...snorkle/canoe, swim, DRINK, fish, get a massage, sight see etc.

The location of this place is such that I had all this within a 5 minute scooter ride of my private front door!! I could walk one block to smathers beach, or hop on my scooter and drive West & North into town or go east to the big shopping center for groceries & liquer (if the local bordega around the corner did not have what I needed). Never a problem parking...gas or battery (whatever they run on) lasted me all week. Of the two weeks I have spent in Key West (March & May), it only rained one afternoon... more
