Chesapeake Beach Resort has no beach! And is by far not a resort!
We will never again stay here. The staff was absolutely obnoxious. We reserved a 6 person suite (2 adults and 4 kids); and even though our reservation said six they claimed to have only 4 person suites and they made us pay for an extra room. Then, after 3 nights, they wanted us to pay for an extra night because they had a “minimum stay” requirement that was not on our reservation. But the worst part is that the value is not there for the money. At the rates we paid we expected to get more than just an old motel: no luxury, no resort; and no beach. This was our first time in the Florida Keys and as beach lovers we expected a great vacation with the children; we were disappointed to discover that the keys are for fishermen not for beach people. The only other fun thing is Key West, even the kids enjoyed this party town; but Chesapeake is 2 hours away. Not a fun place! more
