I want to express my deepest gratitude to Milagro who goes by Mila for her exceptional assistance during a challenging time. After a long day at a volleyball tournament and a delayed flight, I found myself stranded in Miami airport without a hotel voucher from American Airlines. Exhausted and unsure of what to do, I called Fairfield Inn & Suites and made a reservation over the phone. When I arrived at 2:30 am, Milagro greeted me with kindness and professionalism, but informed me that there were no available rooms. Feeling lost and alone, Milagro went above and beyond to help me. She tirelessly searched through reservations and miraculously found a room for me to rest in. The room smelled freshly clean. I am not sure how, but almost as someone had just finished cleaning it. Milagro's compassion and dedication to customer service truly made her an angel sent from above. Thanks to her, I was able to find comfort and rest during a stressful situation. Fairfield Inn & Suites Miami Airport South is lucky to have such a caring and dedicated employee. Thank you, Milagro, for going the extra mile when you didn't have to. Absolutely disgusting hotel. Filthy rooms. Lumpy sagging mattresses. Terrible breakfast buffet that closed way too early so the rest of the family didn't get anything to eat at 845am. The "pool" had police tape around it and was squalid. Never again.

We stayed at this hotel the night prior to our 7 day cruise. It could use an update especially the mattresses. They were saggy and uncomfortable. We opted to take an Uber to the port instead of using a shuttle. It's was fine for one night but I'd choose another hotel next time.

I’m here now and felt I needed to write this as I am so mad. We took our daughter and grandchildren on vacay and this is our stop after arriving to the airport before a cruise. Our daughter was told she would have a pack and play for a crib. The pack and play provided had no bottom pad so she had no crib for my 1 yr old grand daughter. We would have stayed elsewhere had we known. Also just laid down to go to sleep and i can feel the springs of the mattress. The carpet feels sticky under my bare feet…I’m so unhappy after a long travel day.

Reception Staff was helpful and courteous. Clean Room, Quiet Area, New Towels and fair price for Miami Airport Area. On the other hand there is a bit of a walk to decent restaurants and one of the two elevators was out of service but still a good hotel.

The hotel stay was nice and close to the airport and cruise port which made this stay a plus. The room was comfortable and clean and the free breakfast was as advertised and delicious. I would stay here again. However, Karen at the front desk was very polite and hospitable and offered us a “complimentary” shuttle to the cruise port and had us sign up the evening before to reserve our spot. We also verified with her the next morning 1/21/24 and was assured it as complimentary and free shuttle. Please be aware, the shuttle is not free nor complimentary. To our surprise when we arrived at the cruise port the driver charged us $15 per person. He spoke no English other than insisting on his $15. We as well as the other riders were not happy as we all had our $5 tips ready. Needless to say he did not receive a tip from any of the riders after we all paid $15 per person. I am very disappointed as this was not as advertised or confirmed twice by the Karen at the front desk.

Covered parking while cruising was the reason we chose this location. The hotel is old, in a neighborhood that's not upscale, not quite as spiffy clean as I'd like. The room and bathroom were old but passable; older carpet and furnishings. But it was ok. Breakfast offering was nice, and useful before heading to the cruise port; no need to go out. This is an ok place for one night when parking is desired near the Miami Cruise Port. We parked for 5 days in their lower level covered parking, and it seemed safe. Parking cost was around $20 per night. This Fairfield also offers an outside vendor service for shuttle to the cruise port, cost about $30.00 per person one way to the port, but no return service. The best thing about this hotel? Go one block away to Catch of the Day casual seafood restaurant at 1050 NW 42nd Avenue for the best seafood ever. Go early b/c it's very busy after 6:00 p.m. It does have an old Florida mom 'n pop feel, with all good things in service and food choices.

I have stayed at this Hotel on numerous occasions and I have always had a positive experience. It has been a year of two since I last stayed and something is causing this location to go downhill in a hurry. Upon arrival, I was promptly greeted and acknowledged as a Lifetime Titanium Member. The check in was quick and painless. I decided to park the car in the underground parking garage which was a total nightmare. Trash, broken bottles, beer cans and discarded bottles were everywhere. It literally looked like a trash truck had emptied its contents in the parking garage! After getting through the debris field I made my way to the room. The room itself was hot and I could not get the air conditioner to work. All night long, the room was hot and the AC unit sounded like a loud martini shaker making noises that made sleep all but impossible. In the morning, I awoke to find that the toilet would not flush nor the shower operate correctly. The know you pull out to have the water go to the shower head would not work requiring a bath instead of a shower! Lastly, I went downstairs for the complimentary breakfast. I did this at approximately 8:15 and the breakfast is supposed to be until 9:30 AM. When I arrived there were no plates nor spaces to sit. I didn't mind the lack of seating as much as the lack of plates! After all, where do you put your food? Needless to say, they were also out of orange juice and the trash was an overflowing mess. Needless to say, I decided to stay somewhere else for the 2nd night of my stay. Based upon this experience my wife has refused for me to book this hotel again.

We stayed here on a layover and had paid for the room in advance but the next day, we were charged on our card again!!! Not good! Marriott would never do that!! Beware unless you have extra money to waste!

We were there for 2 nights for a wedding. We arrived early. As an elite Marriott customer, I requested early check in. I was asked for my phone number and told I was 2nd on the waiting list. I went to another wedding guest's room to wait. I came down to check periodically but was told there was no room available. I waited until the guaranteed check in time and went back to the desk. I was told "oh, I was calling your name for your room." I reminded her that she said she would call my phone. Upon entering our room, we were assaulted by a mildewy and pissy scent and the carpet was WET! I went to the front desk to complain and informed them that the other guest's room in which we were waiting was offensive smelling as well. The representative acknowledged that they had heavy rains days before that caused the problem. I asked to be moved to a different room and was told that they had oversold the hotel that night and offered me 1,000 points. I was told to check the next day to see if an available room opened up. Thankfully, it did. If you get off the elevator and turn left, you're likely to have a funky room. The room we were switched to was fine. In the hotel's defense, the front desk staff did comp me items from their mini-store because of the issue, but I still find it unacceptable that they would continue to rent rooms in that state without notifying or warning guests. Additionally, they had a tiny, kidney shaped pool that was out of commission. Being so far from the beach and just a short stay, it was also disappointing.
