Stayed for 4 or 5 nights at the Astor in Oct 2007. Really nice staff, good complimentary breakfast & a nice modern, clean & comfortable room. I'm not sure if the comp breakfast still stands now in 2009 & there is almost certainly a daily charge of around $20 dollars that covers things like beach bed & umbrella hire, which... more

We stayed here for 8 nights in June and had a very comfortable stay. We were on the second floor at the back of the hotel and there was no noise at all, although the restaurant and garden were closed at the time for refurbishment. The room and bathroom were very spacious and comfortable. What made our stay even better... more

We stayed at the Hotel Astor in February 2009. The room was really nice and decorated in a cool art deco style. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel does get quite noisy with music and partying from adjacent bars but that was the location we were paying for so we did not mind. The hotel is... more

We stayed here for the first two nights of a 2 week vacation across southern Florida. We booked through Priceline and got a good deal. Upon arrival, at 9 pm and after 18 hours travelling from the UK, we were greeted by friendly staff and a very noisy private party. Not ideal but we were assured that this was a... more

On the plus side, the rooms are big and it is right in the heart of the Art Deco district. Easy to walk to every thing and three blocks off the beach. The staff are very friendly and will chat you up. The French restaurant was highly recommended by locals but it was a bit expensive for our tastes so... more

Great location, 2 blocks away from the beach, close to all the clubs and restaurants. Staff was very friendly and helpful-especially Jorge! Great price, clean room and bathroom- it was a very pleasant stay! more

I stayed here the weekend of May 1-4. Overall, it is a great boutique hotel and very central. I stayed at The Palms during the week to relax (30th/Collins) and transferred to the "real" South Beach (between 5th St and 17th St) in the weekend to party, check out restaurants and enjoy the beach. Be careful with many hotels labeling... more

Overall service quality is adequate, perfect location, reasonable price. I have stayed with my wife for 6 nights recently in the first room on the ground floor (103), closest to the lobby - 3 of 6 nights was absolutely terrible - disco party in the lobby or restaurant sounds like in your room, you have no chance to fall asleep... more

Nice hotel. Room an odd shape! Lovely bathroom. Night party a bit noisy but ok if you were at it! We arrived a few hours early, our cruise ship having docked, but they let us leave our luggage and provided us with towels and passes for baech chairs and umbrellas for the beach which was 2 blocks away. A lovely... more

First, we got a great rate on Bookit.com considering it was still Spring Break. George and Alia (sorry for butchering the name) at the front desk were very friendly and accomodating. We arrived a few hours early and they held our bags for us and pointed us to the beach to relax until checkin. Hotel Astor is just a couple... more
