Since I own a Florida bus company, and am too old to be sleeping on the ground, we were looking for a hotel near the campground where I dropped my group. I could have stayed in any of a number of cookie cutter hotels that have sprung up near the interstate exits, but this place was close and met my... More

Seriously, do not know how the heath inspectors have not closed this place. There are unknown bugs that I never seen before crawling on the floors. The bathrooms have leaky, rusted faucets. The doors have wear out security chains. Some of the rooms have doors that appear someone kicked in. Is located in a secluded area out of civilization. ...... More

Don't even step foot in the place.. It is NASTY! Went into the room, pulled down the bedspred and picked up our bags and ran out.. After we demanded our refund. There was bugs or some kind of droppings all over the sheets!! The place should be closed down by the health department. Do yourself a favor and don't even... More

Sorry but this was a nightmare! Do not base your stay on the photos. The pool was pea green, the lawn in front had not been mowed, the walls in the room were full of holes, cob webs hanging from the ceiling, etc. Sleeping in our car would have been a better option.

We were too late in booking our everglades portion of the trip and didn't get to stay in everglades city more than one night- I'm glad we chose POTI! It's only 10 miles from Everglades City, and what a lovely stay we had. The room was perfect, with a fiew of the water from the balcony. Only complaint is that... More

Although this hotel is charming and the staff friendly, it leaves lots and lots to be desired. First, there seems to be constant conflicts between the hotel, the marina and the homeowners association because some of the hotel rooms have been sold as condos. The homeowners associations has padlocked the washers and dryers, the laundry facilities and the ice machine.... More

We stopped at the Port of the Islands Marina for a couple of nights and ran into a strange business environment. The marina is a separate entity from the hotel and it would appear there are political issues that keep the two units from working together. We could get a slip in the marina but there was no access to... More

Arriving in the wee hours of the night only after searching for several hours to find an available room within 150 miles of civilization. Traveling down a long winding road into the dark Florida everglades we arrived at a hotel half lit. Stepping up to check in with the toothless wonder at the front desk wearing a worn out fubu... It is a beautiful old building, but 35 miles out of Naples in the Everglades, In the middle of nowhere. Close by a new hotel is build as a copy to this one, which has everything the description at the site gives (breakfast, hot water, internet etc). This hotel has no facilities, and uses the description of the new hotel!!!... More

When I first booked this room, I could not find any reviews on the Knights Inn Naples. Turns out, this place is in reality the infamous Port of the Islands Hotel. I had read several reviews on this hotel and knew exactly where I was as soon as I walked through the door. When I first stepped into the hotel... More
